I had a wooden block, hand carved with this design. The block is used to create beautiful motifs on fabric, paper and other flat surfaces. The design looked so beautiful that it inspired me to create my tangle, Cross Flower. I named it Cross Flower because I could see two flowers with four petals, one with pointed petals and one with rounded petals, interlaced with each other.

It took a while to deconstruct it. But finally got it as simply as I could. One can use it as a fragment, as a string, make the auras of the petals broad or narrow. One can also change the centre shapes. And of course, add tangles or fillers in the open spaces.
